On the Child Psychiatric Acute Ward, we assess and treat children under the age of 13 who are in need of urgent inpatient care.
Contacts
Treatment periods on our ward are short, on average from a few days to a week, and stays are defined according to the child's condition and treatment needs. The child has a primary nurse on our ward.
We cooperate with the parents and the rest of the family to agree on the methods for helping the child. Together, we look for solutions on how to best support the child's coping in everyday life. If necessary, we can also cooperate with social services.
Children arrive for treatment on our ward on the basis of a physician's urgent referral, via emergency services, or from another child psychiatric unit.
Patient Guide
The Patient Guide answer the most common questions patients may have before, during, and after treatment.
