On the Child Psychiatric Day Ward, we treat children aged 6–12 years. Children arrive for day-ward treatment periods mainly due to anxiety or depression.
The treatment periods are six weeks in duration and focus on achieving 1–3 objectives. We pay special attention to hearing the child's views.
Inpatient care in child psychiatry is family-centered and takes the individual needs of the child and the family into account. With parental consent, we can cooperate, for example, with the school and social services.
Further treatment takes place at the child psychiatry outpatient clinics.
