Identification wristbands to be given to birth partners in Women's Hospital and Espoo Hospital starting May 3rd
Keywords:By giving birth partners identification wristbands, we aim to improve access control and safety of the families throughout their stay in the hospital. We are introducing the wristbands in the labor and maternity units in Women's Hospital and Espoo Hospital as well as in the Family Nest Hotel.
The birth partner is required to wear the wristband the entire time they are in the hospital. The wristband is removed upon discharge. The aim of the wristbands is to help us distinguish birth partners from other, potentially unauthorized persons at the wards.
It is our intention to continue the wristband policy beyond the COVID-19 restrictions to ensure families’ safety.
