Mass testing for COVID-19 ends in June
Keywords:Mass testing for COVID-19 will end on June 18, 2023. On the same date, HUS will close its COVID-19 testing sites, with the exception of Biomedicum in Helsinki.
During mass testing, people have been able to get tested for COVID-19 without a doctor's referral. In future, only the Biomedicum site will perform testing via Coronabot. To book an appointment to the Biomedicum testing site, visit the Coronabot. A coronavirus test is mainly only necessary for people at risk of developing severe COVID-19 who could be started on Paxlovid.
The laboratories below will continue to test for COVID-19 with a doctor's referral. Customers with a referral can book an appointment for sampling in the online appointment booking system. Please make sure to always wear a mask when coming in for testing.
If a patient is in a risk group due to an illness or medication, they can be started on the coronavirus medicine, Paxlovid, based on a positive result from an at-home test. More information on the coronavirus medicine.
