Treatment on the ward requires a referral.
Our patients also come to our ward through the emergency department. All adults in Finland who are being considered for a heart transplant or a ventricular assist device are referred to us for further examinations and planning.

Your care will continue in your regional specialized outpatient clinic, local health center, occupational health care, Heart and Lung Center’s outpatient clinic, or some other specialist medical care outpatient clinic.
When visiting a patient, we kindly ask you to keep the visits short. Please do not bring any flowers.
