Opening hours and contact information
Our Infectious Diseases Outpatient Clinic accepts patients by appointment only and on referral from a physician in primary health care, other outpatient care units or specialist medical care units.
Our outpatient clinic does not provide any emergency care.
We examine, treat and monitor severe, persistent or chronic infectious diseases.
Examples of typical cases include HIV, persistent postoperative infections requiring extensive antibiotic treatments, and unexplained fever. We also examine and treat congenital and acquired immunodeficiencies and tropical infectious diseases.
Our outpatient clinic has infectious disease specialists and physicians specializing in infectious diseases, and also nurses who are well versed for instance in managing HIV infections and immunoglobulin replacement therapy.
We also have social workers and secretaries. There is also what we call a networking nurse, whose job is to coordinate the actions of various parties to maintain patient compliance particularly for those patients who need help in committing to treatment because of drug abuse.
