Treatment Planning Unit, New Children's Hospital
The Treatment Planning Unit takes care of appointment scheduling and treatment planning for children who will be arriving for surgery or treatment.
Patients arriving for ward care
Please contact the Treatment Planning Unit as soon as possible if
- the scheduled appointment is not suitable for you
- the child falls ill with or is in danger of catching an infectious disease (pox of some sort, gastroenteritis, the flu etc.)
- the child has been hospitalized abroad.
If necessary, please also contact us in any other matters related to inpatient care, arrival, and preliminary examinations.
If you need to cancel the appointment outside office hours or on the day of arrival due to illness, please call the inpatient ward responsible for treatment directly.
Patients arriving for surgery
Please contact the Treatment Planning Unit as soon as possible if
- the scheduled appointment is not suitable for you
- the child falls ill with or is in danger of catching an infectious disease (pox of some sort, gastroenteritis, the flu etc.)
- the child has been hospitalized abroad.
- the child's skin is broken, deformed or inflamed on the surgical site.
If necessary, please also contact us in any other matters related to the procedure, inpatient care, arrival, and preliminary examinations.
For same-day cancellations due to illness, please inform the Surgery and Anesthesia Unit by calling tel. 050 428 7337 (Mon–Fri 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.).
