Plastic Surgery Outpatient Clinic and Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Center HUSUKE, Park Hospital
Keywords:At the Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Center HUSUKE at Park Hospital, we treat cleft lip and palate patients, defective fusions of the cranial sutures (craniosynostoses), and associated syndromes. In addition, we have a Plastic Surgery Outpatient Clinic, where patients come either for a first visit by referral or for a follow-up examination.
We treat severe facial and limb injuries, skin cancers, benign and malignant connective tissue tumors and breast correction surgeries. The Wound Center at the outpatient clinic is responsible for the care of the most demanding wound patients. In addition, our field includes gender reassignment surgeries, corrective surgeries after bariatric surgery, and surgical treatment of lymphedema. In addition to cleft lip and palate patients, we treat other deformities as well as children’s tumors and injuries that require plastic surgery.
Our outpatient clinic offers appointments with specialists, specialists in dentistry, and speech therapists. If necessary, we will also cooperate with other medical specialties.
Surgical procedures for those under 16 years of age will be conducted at New Children's Hospital. These surgeries are also performed by our experienced plastic surgeons of HUSUKE. Children are admitted for surgery at New Children's Hospital through the LEIKO Unit (into surgery from home). After the procedure, the child is transferred for further treatment on the ward Avaruus.
HUSUKE is the only pediatric plastic surgery unit in Finland.
