Venous Surgery Outpatient Clinic, Park Hospital
Keywords:At the Venous Surgery Outpatient Clinic, we perform diagnostics and treatment planning for venous insufficiency and venous surgery.
At the Venous Surgery Outpatient Clinic in Park Hospital, we examine and treat patients with leg swelling or a wound caused by venous insufficiency. Venous insufficiency can also manifest as varicose veins. In addition, at the Venous Surgery Outpatient Clinic we diagnose arterial and venous malformations and plan their treatment.
Patients come to the Venous Surgery Outpatient Clinic for examinations and assessment of the need for treatment on the basis of a referral from a doctor. Occasionally, a toe/ankle pressure measurement is needed to assess the arterial circulation. This measurement is done in the Park Hospital's Clinical Physiology Unit.
Venous surgery is mainly performed at the outpatient clinic’s procedure rooms. A small portion of procedures are performed in the Park Hospital's Anesthesia and Surgery Unit. All our procedures are ambulatory meaning that patients are discharged on the same day after the procedure and a short monitoring period.
