Dialysis Training Unit, Surgical Hospital
At the Dialysis Training Unit, we treat patients with chronic renal failure who require hemodialysis treatment.
We provide treatment three times a week and it takes approximately 4–5 hours at a time. Our operations strongly involve independent activity. We support the self-care and independence of our patients as much as possible.
At the Dialysis Training Unit, we are responsible for teaching patients how to perform hemodialysis independently. Our patients transfer to the care of the home hemodialysis unit or a hemodialysis satellite unit (B. Braun Pitäjänmäki and Malmi) in accordance with their individual needs.
Our unit has a total of 11 dialysis beds for use in two shifts.
