Keywords:

At the New Children’s Hospital, we treat all children’s coagulation disorders, i.e. bleeding diathesis and thrombophilia.

The majority of bleeding diathesis patients have A or B hemophilia or von Willebrand disease. We treat the majority of Finland’s most severe cases of bleeding diathesis, i.e. hemophilia. We also treat children and adolescents with thrombocytopathy or other rare bleeding diathesis conditions. Patients with thrombophilia typically have a serious underlying condition or are genetically predisposed to thrombophilia.
