Prehospital emergency care
Keywords:In case of an actual or suspected emergency, call the general emergency number 112.
It is particularly important that you call 112 in the following cases:
- sudden severe chest pain or difficulty breathing
- new stroke symptoms, such as sudden flaccidity or incapacity of a limb or speech difficulties.
For example, these cases do not count as emergencies: minor injuries (contusions, sprains, wounds where bleeding has stopped), symptoms of infection (fever, common cold), limb and back pain, headache, or nosebleeds.
