In the Iso Omena X-ray unit, we perform plain X-ray examinations without appointments. In the same facility, there is also a laboratory.
We perform plain X-ray examinations, i.e. bone, chest and dental imaging, without an appointment. You can come in for X-ray examinations when it best suits you. Register in the waiting room at the automated registration machine.
If you are visually impaired or otherwise need help finding your way, ask for help from the guards at the info desk on the 3rd floor.
We conduct examinations for customers of HUS area health centers and hospitals.
We do not have a patient lift, e.g., to transfer patients from a wheelchair to an examination table.
You are free to choose your X-ray location
Once you receive a referral to HUS for skeletal, chest, or dental X-ray examinations, you are free to choose the imaging unit where you go for the examinations. Most X-ray units do not require booking an appointment.
How do I prepare for examinations and where do I get the results?
Examinations always require a referral. See here for more information on preparing for examinations, on receiving the results, and instructions on ordering copies of your images.
