HUS is preparing to relocate childbirth services from Lohja Hospital to other HUS maternity hospitals
HUS is preparing to permanently relocate childbirth services from Lohja Hospital to the Women’s Hospital, Espoo Hospital, and Hyvinkää Hospital. The plan is to perform the relocation gradually, so that patients giving birth will be admitted to Lohja Hospital until November 27, 2024, 8 a.m.
On the ward, we care for newborns who were born in our hospital and require enhanced monitoring. Treatment time in Vaava is from a few hours to a few weeks. Our Ward has nurses, midwives and pediatricians.
We provide each family with individual guidance and counseling according to the family’s needs and the condition of the newborn. We will listen to your wishes and implement them as far as possible. According to the baby’s condition, treatment can also take place alongside the mother on the Maternity Ward.
We are following the Baby-Friendly Initiative on the ward.
