In the Meilahti Tower Hospital X-ray unit, we perform plain X-ray examinations without appointment and other examinations by appointment.

You can come in for plain X-ray examinations (bone, chest) when it best suits you. Come in through the main entrance of Meilahti Hospital and follow the black line. Register at the X-ray unit. If you are visually impaired, register at the information desk at the main entrance of Meilahti Hospital. From there you will be picked up for an X-ray.

Other examinations (for example ultrasound examinations) require an appointment. You will be given an appointment for the examination and you will be informed of the appointment by letter.

If your examinations are conducted in the evening, you will find marked signs at the registration desk to help you in finding the right waiting room.

We have a patient lift, e.g., to transfer patients from a wheelchair to an examination table. Please call us in advance if you need to use a patient lift. More information about patient lifts.

Please note that emergency patients requiring urgent care will be taken to imaging first, so other patients may need to wait.

We carry out examinations for HUS hospital customers who have reached the age of 16.

MRI examination: fill in the patient history form

If you are coming for an MRI examination, please remember to fill in the patient history form. Please refer to your appointment letter for more information.
