At Porvoo Hospital’s Outpatient Clinic for Eye Diseases, we treat a wide range of eye diseases and perform related examinations.
Typical patient groups at our outpatient clinic include patients with diabetic eye diseases, glaucoma, wet age-related macular degeneration, and cataracts. We also treat general eye diseases.
The Outpatient Clinic for Eye Diseases operates on a referral and appointment basis. We will send you an invitation for an appointment at the outpatient clinic based on your referral. If necessary, you will be placed on the surgical waiting list according to the urgency assessment. We perform cataract surgery and plastic operations as day surgery in the operating room.
At Porvoo Hospital, we do not have emergency services for ophthalmology, but emergency patients are treated in Helsinki at the Emergency Outpatient Clinic for Eye Diseases at Meilahti.
