Renovation of the Comprehensive Cancer Center
We are renovating the low-rise building section of the Comprehensive Cancer Center in phases during 2020–2025.
After the renovation, the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in the low-rise building section of the Comprehensive Cancer Center will meet the needs of modern specialized healthcare. The renovation will take into account the previously renovated facilities and the significant investments made in the premises.
The first phase of the renovation, which covered floors 0 and 1 at the southern end of the low-rise building section, was completed in 2022. Floors 1–2 of the northern end of the low-rise building section will be renovated during the second phase.
Treatment of cancer in Meilahti
At the Meilahti campus, we treat cancer patients in three hospitals: Triangle Hospital, Bridge Hospital, and in the lower floors of the older, renovated section of the Comprehensive Cancer Center.
The low-rise building section of the Comprehensive Cancer Center houses the radiation therapy and molecular radiotherapy units (formerly the Nuclear Medicine Unit), as well as medical imaging and the Palliative Care Center. [PM1]
