The construction site of the new ward building at Jorvi Hospital will expand at the end of August 2024, and the main entrance to the existing hospital building will be closed. The ramp leading to the main entrance will be demolished and access to Jorvi Hospital will be via other routes until January 2026.
In the Jorvi Hospital X-ray Unit, we perform both urgent and non-urgent examinations. We perform non-urgent examinations by appointment.
Instructions for making appointments
You will be informed by letter of the appointment.
We are located on the 1st floor of Jorvi Hospital. Come in through Karvasmäentie 8 B and follow the continuous red line to the X-ray unit.
On weekdays from 7:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., register at the X-ray unit office on the 1st floor. At other times, follow the instructions in the appointment letter.
We have access to a patient lift when needed, e.g., for patients who use a wheelchair. If you need a patient lift, please contact us in advance so we will have it ready for you. More information about patient lifts.
We conduct examinations for customers of HUS area health centers and hospitals.
You can have X-ray examinations of the bones and chest, and panoramic radiography of the teeth taken at our other X-ray units. The nearest X-ray units offering general radiography without appointment are Leppävaara X-ray unit and Iso Omena X-ray unit.
You are free to choose your X-ray location
Once you receive a referral to HUS for skeletal, chest, or dental X-ray examinations, you are free to choose the imaging unit where you go for the examinations. Most X-ray units do not require booking an appointment.
