HUS year 2022
Keywords:Annual report 2022
In 2022, nearly 700,000 patients were treated at our hospitals. The year under review also saw preparations for the health and social services reform that was implemented at the beginning of 2023. Our finances were stretched by the coronavirus pandemic, strikes and personnel availability issues.
We trained our supervisors, and employee satisfaction with leadership improved. We pursued multiple approaches to address the personnel shortage issue, including more emphasis on recruitment.
The Bridge Hospital–our largest ever construction project–was completed in Meilahti at the end of the year. Our responsibility work progressed, and our climate change roadmap was completed.
Come and see what we did at HUS in 2022!

From the CEO
Finances will be of ever greater importance in the new operating environment where HUS now finds itself. Although we still face challenges with the aftereffects of the coronavirus pandemic and the industrial action, my outlook is calm. I believe we are moving in the right direction. For the employee experience, the trend looks good.
